What are shelter services?
A shelter lets a foreign manufacturer operate in Mexico under an established Mexican company's IMMEX permit, VAT certification, and administrative infrastructure. You fund the operation and run production; the shelter provides the legal and regulatory framework — HR, payroll, customs, trade compliance, accounting, and EHS — so you can focus on manufacturing.
It is not contract manufacturing. You keep full control of your production, quality, and engineering. The shelter runs everything that requires a Mexican corporate presence.

- Multitenant shelter — the fastest way in (60–90 days). You operate under Prodensa's shared IMMEX entity with pooled resources and lower overhead. It's ideal for market entry and smaller operations.
- Dedicated shelter — a Prodensa-owned entity dedicated to you (5-8 months), with customizable processes, suppliers, and HR, isolated compliance and tax exposure, and a clean path to convert into your own subsidiary later.
