A shelter lets a foreign manufacturer operate in Mexico under an established Mexican company's IMMEX permit, VAT certification, and administrative infrastructure. - Multitenant shelter — the fastest way in (60–90 days). You operate under Prodensa's shared IMMEX entity with pooled resources and lower overhead. It's ideal for market entry and smaller operations.
- Dedicated shelter — a Prodensa-owned entity dedicated to you (5-8 months), with customizable processes, suppliers, and HR, isolated compliance and tax exposure, and a clean path to convert into your own subsidiary later.

- A 40-year industrial base. Ford's Hermosillo Stamping and Assembly plant has operated since 1986 and today builds the Bronco Sport and the hybrid Maverick across roughly 1.5 million square feet, with more than 2,800 employees. Around it sits a mature tier-one supplier network: Leoni, Martinrea, Faurecia, Autoliv, Dana, Lear and others alongside electronics manufacturers like TE Connectivity and Flex, aerospace machining from Figeac Aero and AT Engine, and medical device production at BD. - Cost and retention advantage over the border. Labor and industrial real estate cost meaningfully less in Hermosillo than in border cities, and turnover is lower. Border markets compete for a transient workforce; Hermosillo draws from settled, long-standing communities, which shows up directly in training cost and quality consistency.
- Two routes to market. Highway 15D and Ferromex rail run north along the CANAMEX corridor to Nogales, putting Arizona within a single day's drive and the U.S. interstate network directly in reach. Southwest, the deep-water Port of Guaymas connects to Asia-Pacific shipping lanes with rail interchange to Ferromex, Union Pacific and BNSF. Few Mexican manufacturing cities offer both overland U.S. access and an ocean port for inbound components.
- Workforce depth. As the capital of Sonora and a metro of roughly 940,000, Hermosillo supports a labor pool spanning assembly operators to engineers. Universidad de Sonora, Tec de Monterrey Campus Sonora Norte, and Instituto Tecnológico de Hermosillo run engineering and technical programs built around the region's manufacturing base.
