EHS and 6S Coordinator

VACANCY SUMMARY
Design, implement and supervise comprehensive programs for Industrial Safety, Occupational Hygiene, Environmental Protection and the 6S methodology in the plant, ensuring the prevention of accidents and work diseases, strict compliance with official Mexican standards (STPS, Civil Protection, SEMARNAT) and the promotion of a culture of self-discipline and safe work.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the implementation and monitoring of the 6S methodology on the production floor.
- Coordinate the Health and Safety Committee and the Emergency Response Team, organizing drills, contingency plans, and rapid response protocols.
- Oversee and manage inspections and audits by government agencies (STPS, Civil Protection, PROFEPA, local authorities), keeping permits, licenses, and environmental records up to date.
- Develop, deliver, and document EHS training programs for all company personnel.
- Ensure regulatory and institutional compliance, promoting adherence to the Internal Work Regulations (RIT), NOM-035, NOM-036, and ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 standards.
REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Ecology, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience as an EHS Coordinator, Supervisor, or Engineer in the manufacturing or electronics maquiladora industry.
- Intermediate English.
- 6S/5S methodology and visual management in manufacturing plants.
- STPS regulatory framework, General Law on Ecological Balance and Environmental Protection (LGEEPA).
