Maria Elena has extensive experience in foreign trade and energy sustainability in both public and private sectors. As Vice President of Foreign Trade at Prodensa, she manages operations for over 100 clients in the manufacturing sector, handling tax and trade issues.

Previously, she was Head of Industry at ENGIE Mexico, coordinating energy supply negotiations and promoting sustainability projects. She spent over 8 years at the Tax Administration Service (SAT), managing the Business Certification Registry and earning certification from the World Customs Organization as an expert in Authorized Economic Operator (AEO). Maria Elena played a key role in negotiation groups for the USMCA, the Pacific Alliance, and with the European Union, and has been a consultant for AEO certification in several Latin American countries.
