Supplier Development Engineer

VACANCY SUMMARY
Responsible for improving supplier capability, quality, delivery performance, manufacturing efficiency, and total cost competitiveness across the supply base. This role leads end-to-end supplier development activities, including supplier assessment, onboarding, process capability review, performance improvement, quality concern resolution, corrective action follow-up, productivity initiatives, and sustainable cost reduction.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Evaluate supplier manufacturing processes, technical capabilities, quality systems, and operational performance.
- Lead supplier assessments, audits, and capability reviews to identify improvement opportunities and performance gaps.
- Drive supplier corrective action activities and ensure sustainable resolution of recurring issues.
- Collaborate with suppliers to improve process capability, manufacturing efficiency, and overall operational excellence.
- Develop and lead annual supplier cost reduction strategies aligned with company financial objectives and in alignment with Commodity Managers.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical) or a related field.
- Advanced English.
- +7 years of experience in supplier development, manufacturing engineering, supplier quality, strategic sourcing, or operations.
- Experience supporting Design-to-Value, VA/VE, DFM/DFA, should-cost analysis, productivity improvement, and supplier-led cost reduction initiatives.
- Experience with structured problem solving and quality tools such as 8D, A3, 5 Why, Ishikawa, PFMEA, Control Plans, APQP, PPAP, SPC, process audits, and corrective action management.
