HSE Engineer

VACANCY SUMMARY
Responsible for the health, safety, and environmental management of the new data center throughout its entire lifecycle, from construction and commissioning to operational handover. Ensure that the project strictly complies with Mexican federal and state-level occupational health, safety, and environmental protection regulations during both the construction and operational phases.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure compliance with HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) regulations, permits, and industry-specific requirements for data center operations.
- Develop and maintain HSE management systems, procedures, emergency response plans, inspection programs, and compliance documentation.
- Conduct site inspections and risk assessments, identifying hazards and implementing corrective actions.
- Lead or support incident reporting and investigations, including root cause analysis and the implementation of corrective and preventive measures.
- Design and deliver HSE training programs for employees and contractors, with a strong focus on regulatory compliance, emergency response, electrical safety, chemical safety, and safe work practices.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree or above in Safety Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of relevant HSE work experience, with 2+ years of experience in data center construction or operational projects preferred.
- Familiar with Mexican federal and state-level regulations on safety, occupational health, and the environment, as well as core NOM standards; NEBOSH IGC/Diploma or IOSH Managing Safely certification is preferred.
- Experience in electrical safety (knowledge of NFPA 70E) and safety management of critical facilities (e.g., UPS, battery rooms, cooling systems).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
